Readiness: Preparing for the Next Container

Having dispatched our largest delivery to date — a full container of around 2,978 units — our community is already looking to the next.

This gathering on [INSERT: date], with around [INSERT: number] volunteers, marked the beginning of preparations for a second container. The work is familiar now, but the ambition has grown: to reach more patients, more reliably, as the need in Sudan continues.

Building towards independence

For the first container, our partner organisations generously funded the shipping, customs and distribution costs. For the next, the trustees have resolved to pursue greater financial independence through local fundraising and community donations — so that our partners, who face their own pressures during the conflict, are not relied upon indefinitely.

The same table, a bigger goal

It still begins where it always has: with people around a table in Belfast, sorting and counting supplies by hand. From that simple act, a second container is taking shape — and with it, the promise of care for many more patients in Sudan. [INSERT: a detail or photo from this session.]

Every gathering turns donated supplies into lifelines for patients in Sudan — and a source of connection here in Belfast.
